UN is the PLO Propaganda Ministry
It appears that the United Nations Organization is now re-writing the
history of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The UN site,
Question of
Palestine: History:
- Does not mention that the Jews accepted the
Resolution 181 (II) of 1947,
while the Arabs rejected it.
- Does not mention that, when the Arab states
invaded Palestine in 1948, they called upon the Arab population of
Palestine to leave the land, thus creating the Arab refugee
problem.
- Does not mention the hundreds of thousands of Jews
who were expelled from the Arab states and absorbed by cash-stripped
Israel, including the Jews expelled from East Jerusalem by the
Jordan.
- Uses emotionally charged expressions, like exodus of
Palestinians, forgetting to explain why these people
were not absorbed by the oil-rich Arab states.
- Does not mention the Arab boycott of Israel, the
Arab terrorism, and the attempts to destroy Israel in 1956 and 1967
(naval blockade), 1948 and 1973 (direct aggression).
- Uses the expression indigenous Palestinian population
to mean "Arabs", who are not in any way indigenous to
Palestine (they came from the Arabian peninsula); moreover, the word
"Palestinian" meant a "Jew living in Palestine" until it was adopted
by the PLO to mean an "Arab living in Palestine" in 1967.
- Does not mention that in the first third of the
twentieth century the term "Palestine" included the modern Jordan,
whose population is mostly the same Arabs as in "Palestine".
- Does not mention that the Arabs have routinely
destroyed the Jewish holy sites that came under their control,
starting with using the gravestones from the Jerusalem Jewish
cemetery to pave roads (1950-ies) through the constant attacks on the
Joseph's
Tomb
these days.
- Does not mention that since Jerusalem was united
under the Israeli sovereignty in 1967, all confessions enjoyed free
access to their religious sites, while in 1947-1967 the Jews were
denied access to the Western Wall.
- Does not mention that as a result of the peace
treaty with Egypt Israel withdrew from the Sinai peninsula, which
constitute over 90% of the territories captured in 1967, and that
no UN resolution required Israel to withdraw from
all the territories it captured while defending
herself from the Arab aggressions.
In short, the page gives a slanted, anti-Israeli outlook.
